Saadani National Park

Where the Bush Meets the Beach

About Saadani

Saadani is unique in all of East Africa as the only wildlife sanctuary that borders the Indian Ocean. It offers a surreal landscape where you can see elephants wandering on the beach or lions basking in the sun just meters from the surf.

The park is a vibrant mosaic of marine, riverine, and terrestrial ecosystems. The Wami River flows through the park, creating a lush environment for hippos and crocodiles, while the white sand beaches of the coast serve as a critical nesting ground for green turtles. It is the ultimate destination for those who want a "safari and sand" experience in a single location.
