This unique safari provides you with an opportunity to encounter aquatic life as well as wild life experience, the former Selous game reserve, one of the world's heritages has so many to offer through game view drive, boat safari and walking safari. Large number of Elephants, Black rhinoceroses, cheetahs, Giraffes, hippopotamus, crocodiles and many others live in this immense sanctuary. Furthermore, this safari takes you all the way to the most historical heritage site in East Africa, Zanzibar islands.

Day-by-day breakdown of your incredible journey
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
In the morning hours you will depart from your accommodation directly to Nyerere National Park by a comfortable 4x4 Safari car. The journey from Dar es salaam to Nyerere national park will take total of 5hours. After arrival to Nyerere national park you will check in at Rufiji River Camp for lunch and short rest. Thereafter during evening hours, you will begin boat safari in the mighty Rufiji River, this is a perfect time to spot hippopotamus, crocodiles and beautiful birds. Thereafter during evening hours, you will be transported back to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and cover night stay.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive at Nyerere National Park
Early in the morning soon after breakfast you will begin game viewing drive at Nyerere national park, with picnic lunch box from your accommodation that will be served later within the park. It will not be a coincidence to spot large number of Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Zebras, African wild dogs and so much more. Game viewing drive will continue until sunset when you will be returned back to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and cover night stay. Starting early in the morning, the drive maximizes your chances of viewing predators, such as lions and leopards, as they are most active during the cooler hours. With a packed lunch box provided by your hotel, you will spend the entire day traversing the diverse landscape, moving from the open savannahs to dense bush and acacia woodlands. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring different ecological zones, often heading towards the Rufiji River where animals congregate to drink, offering spectacular sightings of massive elephant herds, buffalo, and giraffe.
Day 3: Nyerere to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam Ferry
Early in the morning you will go for a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger and a local guide, you'll track animals, learn about the smaller inhabitants often overlooked during game drives such as insects and plants, and understand the art of tracking. This thrilling early morning activity focuses on understanding the ecosystem and observing animals like giraffe, impala, and zebra from a safe distance. Following the excitement of your walk, you'll return to the lodge to enjoy a well-deserved, full breakfast a perfect way to refuel and share your morning's incredible stories. Thereafter you will check out at your hotel and start a journey to Zanzibar through Dar es Salaam ferry, here you will have lunch break on the way to Dar es Salaam. After arriving in Dar es Salaam you will catch evening boat straight to Zanzibar islands. Arrive at the ferry terminal in Stone Town. Your private driver will meet you and transfer you to your resort in Nungwi (about 1 hour 15 minutes). Check in at the beautiful Riu Jambo, settle in, and enjoy your first evening on the island.
Day 4: Relax and Unwind in Nungwi
After your travels, today is all about rest and relaxation. Enjoy the resort's pools, delicious meals, and soft sandy beaches. The calm tides in Nungwi make it perfect for swimming throughout the day. Take it easy, sip a drink under a palm tree, and let the tropical atmosphere refresh you.
Day 5: Spice Tour and Prison Island
Today combines travel and exploration as you head from Nungwi to Stone Town with two unforgettable experiences along the way. Morning: After checking out, start your Spice Tour, where you'll walk through lush plantations and see, smell, and taste Zanzibar's famous spices like cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Midday: Continue to Prison Island (Changuu Island) by boat to meet the giant Aldabra tortoises and explore the old prison ruins. Evening: Return to Stone Town Visit landmarks such as the Old Fort, Freddie Mercury's House, or the vibrant Darajani Market shopping. Then check into your hotel either Tembo Hotel or Golden Tulip. Spend your evening exploring the charming alleyways, local shops, and seaside cafes of this historic town.
Day 6: Departure to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast followed by checking out at Tembo Hotel, you will start a departure back to Dar es Salaam through Zanzibar ferry. After arriving in Dar es Salaam and drop off to your location that will mark the end of your trip.
